What supplements do you take and why do you take it? I don't care about brand names, just the supplement.
Here's my supplement list: MultiVitamin - My diet isnt the healthiest right now, so I need the extra vitamins to make up for what I might be missing. Glutamine - supposed to help with recovery after working out. Creatine Monohydrate - It is supposed to make you stronger.
Thats it right now.
I am thinking of adding Fish Oil also. But someone told me I need both Fish AND Flax oil...true? He said Fish is Omega-3, but I need 6 and 9 also...?
I'm also thinking of adding a "greens" supplement, I don't get enough greens in my diet, so I would like to get some extra.

Multivitamin - once per day (morning) - obvious B-vitamin complex - twice per day (w/ lunch and before bed) - Started doing this in detox when they said alcoholics were incredibly B-vitamin deficient; I can probably stop now but it gives me a boost after lunch and also makes my urine green. Vitamin C (1000mg) - 2x per day (lunch & bedtime) - immune system Psyllium Husk w/acidophilus (1000mg) - 3x per day (morning, lunch & bedtime) - fiber supplement & good bacteria to aid digestion CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid, 1200mg) - 2x per day (morning & bedtime) - weight loss & good fatty acid Fish Oil (1200mg) - 2x per day (morning & bedtime) - heart Vitamin E (500mg) - 1x per week (Monday morning) - skin, read that it's fat-soluble and it's also in my multi so I don't need it every day
I think that's about it; some of this is my own (possible) misinformation. I used to take flaxseed oil but I asked my doctor and he laughed and said he gives it to his dog for a shiny coat and that's all it's good for. It may be good for more than that (my doc is an asshole and I'm changing next week) but I have that in my head.
I also drink a smoothie every morning made of 1/2 cups oats, 1 banana, 75mg acai powder, 2 Tbsp fiber powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup yogurt, 1/2 cup whole milk, and some frozen fruit (usually blueberries or strawberries, occasionally pineapple or cherries). It's yummy, it fills my stomach, and all of those things serve various purposes (I heard that cinnamon helps with weight loss, acai is supposed to be some kind of miracle food, oats are good fiber & good for your heart, yogurt for the good bacteria, milk for calcium, fruit for other vitamins).
You can get vegetable protein--spirulina is a good one for the "greens"--but beware, it will give you incredibly stinky farts and BMs. I stopped taking it for exactly that reason and added some spinach to my diet instead.

and I think I have all my bases covered with those three. I know I could add fish oil, but I east fish pretty frequently, so it is not really needed.
